48 hours in Glasgow

A while ago the boyfriend decided he wanted to see a soccer game of Celtic. I decided I wanted to shop and get some culture. The result? An airplane ticket to Glasgow.

Glasgow: what to expect?

  • Rain. Lots and lots of it. But hey no worries, we came prepared. It’s Scotland after all…
  • Stores. Again, lots and lots of it. Glasgow is Scotlands number 1 shopping city. Perfect when you’re looking for a place to hide from the rain (see point 1 above).
  • International food and pubs. Thai, Greek, Turkish, Chinese,… You name an international restaurant, Glasgow has it. Looking for some late night fun? Just try one of the many pubs. The city never barely sleeps.
  • Great architecture. Glasgow is modern, hip and happening. A fascinating contrast with historic Edinburgh. If you ever get the chance, combine these two amazing cities in an unforgettable trip.

Tips: where to sleep and eat in Glasgow?

FAVORITE HOTEL: The Z Hotel, 36 North Frederick Street, Glasgow G1 2BS, UK

FAVORITE RESTAURANT: Elia Greek Restaurant, 24 George Square, Glasgow G2 1EG, UK

Have an amazing trip! Just don’t forget your umbrella 😉
